B & H designs and manufactures change parts for all B & H labelers. Each and every set of change parts is custom designed and manufactured in Ceres, California to meet the precise requirements of each labeler and each container and label combination.

The exact components included in a set a change parts varies by machine model, but the common component types include:

• Bottle guides
• Infeed starwheel (if applicable)
• Main starwheel

For many older B & H models, change parts are available in two basic designs: standard and rapid change over (RCO). The key difference between the two basic designs is that RCO change parts are easier to remove and install on a labeler, which reduces change over times.

Newer B & H models, including Marathon and the BH1600, include RCO change parts as standard equipment. RCO change parts are an Available Option on new BH8000 labelers. RCO change parts are also available as an aftermarket upgrade for installed labelers.

Each and every set of B & H change parts is designed by an experienced B & H change part engineer, and each and every change part order is based on the exact specifications of the labeler that will use the change parts. This process insures that B & H change parts deliver maximum speeds and maximum productivity.

Change parts manufactured by 3rd parties are based on imprecise measurements taken in the field from installed labelers. Since their change parts are not based on the original machine drawings or specifications, 3rd party change parts inevitably have inherent problems that decrease production speeds, increase downtime, and decrease labeling quality. The price savings realized from buying 3rd party change parts can be lost in as little as three months, and the higher ongoing costs of lost productivity make 3rd party change parts a penny wise, and pound foolish investment.
