Training Programs
Efficiently operating and effectively maintaining labelers requires trained personnel.
Why is training important?
When you think about it, labeling is a challenging operation. You start with a container supplied by one manufacturer, add a label supplied by another manufacturer, then add an adhesive supplied by yet another manufacturer, and you bring them together at the labeler at hundreds of containers per minute.
Each material has tolerances and inherent variations, and these variations combined with the tolerances inherent in the labeler make labeling a challenge. At hundreds of containers per minute, everything must be precisely synchronized at the labeler to achieve top speeds, maximum operating efficiency, and desired labeling quality.
Two major keys to success are fully trained operators and fully trained maintenance personnel.
To support our customers, B & H offers a full range on training programs. Training programs can be conducted at the customer's location, or at our headquarters in Ceres, California. Programs are available for both operators and maintenance personnel, and include classroom and hands-on instruction.
Training topics include:
- Basic theories of roll-fed labeling, including principles of operation (for roll-fed customers)
- Basic theories of shrink sleeve labeling, including principles of operation (for Endura customers)
- Machine set-up and operation
- System and component trouble shooting
- Labeling process optimization
- Preventative maintenance requirements and schedules
- Safety precautions
All training programs include training course materials, handouts, and manuals. Training program curriculums can also be customized based on the customer's unique needs and requirements.
