Label Evaluation & Testing

B & H welcomes the opportunity to work with customers, as well as label material converters and label manufacturers, to evaluate and test new labels and new label materials, before they reach the production floor.

Label material converters and label manufacturers are under constant pressure to deliver lower cost label materials and labels.

Labeling equipment manufacturers, including B & H, are under constant pressure to register, cut, transfer and apply these new materials and new labels to containers at speeds measured in the hundreds of containers per minute.

As label materials have continued to change, B & H has focused on widening the window of operation for our labelers. In practice, this means making the equipment capable of handling changes to label materials, and the inherent variations within these materials.

Two key technical advances have helped put B & H in a leadership position in terms of label handling and label registration:

These two important innovations increase labeler productivity by enabling the labeler to handle stretch prone labels, labels with varying coefficients of friction, and labels that are out of specification in terms of eyemarks.
